It is a great pleasure to play in a blues duo (Blue Waters) with one of the finest blues harp players in these parts, Mr. "Blue" Rick Gerek.
If you hear a harmonica in any of these clips, well, that is Blue Rick.
With harmonica, guitar and voice, we create our own styling of different
genres, including songs like:
--"Regular" Blues (Blow Wind Blow, Kidney Stew, Stormy Monday, Deep River Blues)
--Traditional American Music (St. James Infirmary, Midnight Special)
--Old Country (Walkin' After Midnight, Train to Birmingham, That's How I Got to Memphis)
--Newer Blues (John Mayer's Gonna Find Another You)
--Jazz Standards (Georgia on My Mind, Summertime, Don't Get Around Much)
--Old Rock (Selections from Fats Domino, Ace Cannon, etc.)
--Folk Blues (White Freightliner Blues, Nine Pound Hammer)
Throw in some original instrumentals and you have our strength---though a steady diet of 12 bar blues is heavenly for true blues aficionados, most people like some variety. While many guitar players and vocalists can cover this eclectic range, not many harmonica players can't. Rick CAN!
We play extensively in pubs/grilles, beer gardens, patio restaurants, and farmers' markets. We are open to playing private gigs. Basically anywhere some good foot-tapping blues is appreciated.

Note that if you need a larger group, we can perform as a trio or quartet by adding bass, drums, or both!
