Great song by Robert Earl Keen with Pat Smith playing Lead Guitar, Steve Armstrong on Bass and Ruth Armstrong Singing Harmony
Originally a bluegrass tune by Townes Van Zandt done with Rick Gerek on blues harp in lieu of typical bluegrass instrumentation. Carmen Nickerson doing vocal backup, Guy Fiorintini on bass and Red Greer on fiddle.
Pretty song by Butch Hancock. I am playing 6 and 12-string guitars, mandolin, bass and Dobro.

I wrote this single after attending a landmark high school reunion. After the Frighday night reception, a bunch of classmates were sitting at an outdoor restaurant at about 11:00 PM, with the Cedar River flowing in the background. Stars were out, as was the moon, as I recall. I was talking to people I hadn't even heard about in decades.. This was no longer my home, but it all seemed so familiar, comfortable, and relaxing.
Thanks to Carmen Nickerson for the harmony lines, Alan Arber for percussion and Steve Armstrong for the bass part. Guy Fiorentini for mixing.
This is a single. This is maybe my favorite folk song ever. Written by Kate Wolf, the words regarding the passage of time are beautiful and elemental. Hope you enjoy this arrangement with Red Greer on fiddle and Steve Armstrong on bass.
Real music. No loops, samples. Just musicians playing into microphones.

This is a single, original tune with a swing feel, this song is about temptation and the slippery slope. Steve Armstrong's bass, Red Greer's evil fiddle, Pat Smith's guitar solo, and a little background melodica combine to make this just creepy enough!
I have been asked many times what genre I play. Slippery Shoes is a kind of mix of swing, folk and maybe a little blues. Some outstanding fiddling by Red Greer!
An up-tempo acoustic folk version of an old favorite with 3-part harmony and some mean fiddlin' by Red Greer
